The Martial Arts are an excellent way
to get fit and stay fit, increase your confidence and to relieve everyday stress.
In today’s society it is imperative for everyone, especially women, to be able to defend themselves and be aware of the dangers they may face.
Martial Arts are so efficient at improving fitness levels that they have spawned many spin-offs in the fitness industry's more modern classes. These classes can provide a great workout, but that's all! Don't be fooled into thinking that you are practising a martial art; I have met someone who thought she was a kick boxer because she stood in front of her television following a Tae Bo DVD!
Unlike the Martial Arts, this will not teach you correct distance, timing, awareness or how to deal with the inevitable adrenaline rush.
Self Defence Courses
Steve runs self-defence courses for individuals or groups of women. The courses are flexible and can be tailored to the groups wants. The courses are designed to be enjoyable and informative and can include a fitness theme or purely self-defence. The sessions are generally 1-hour long and from a one off taster session to a six or eight week course during the day or evening.
Previous groups have included corporate, work colleagues, mothers groups or just groups of friends.
